Call In:
As with Skype, calls are free to other Gizmo users. However, to be able to receive calls, you need Gizmo Call In. US$12 will get you a Call In number for 3 months or US$35 for 12 months. You have a choice of phone numbers from over 50 cities in the US and UK. Whether you buy a Call In number or not, Gizmo voicemail is free.
Call Out:
With Call Out, you can call any landline or mobile phone provided you have bought some Call Out Credits. Rates are different depending on the country you call and you are billed by the minute. For example, it costs US 1.0¢/min to the US, 2.5¢/min. to the UK or 4.4¢/min. to Japan. Call Out rates are the same no matter where you live in the world.
Gizmo to SIP:
Gizmo allows you to call their peer partners for free, e.g. sipgate users.
