Setup Cost:
You can use a softphone like xten lite (x-lite) but Sipgate prefer their customers to use a SIP phone or an analogue phone connected to an ATA. Depending on your choice of hardware, you may have to spend at least £40.
Free voip-in number:
Yes - Sipgate offers almost every area code in the UK. However, you must reside in the UK in order to be eligible.
Call Tariffs:
Calls to other Sipgate users and Sipgate peer partners are free. They include FreeWorldDialup, Sipphone (Gizmo), Gossiptel, Gradwell amongst others. Calls to UK landlines are 1.19p/min. Calls to mobiles are 9.90p/min. 0870 and 0845 numbers are charged at 7.51p and 3p/min. respectively. Calls to the US landlines and mobiles are both 1.5p/min.
sipgate1000:
For a flat fee of £5.90 (0.59 p/min), you will have 1000 minutes to call any British fixed-line. Any credits not used in the month will not be rolled-over into the next month. All calls are charged by the minute i.e. each minute started counts as one minute.
